MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Australia has defeated South Africa by an innings and 182 runs in the second cricket test Thursday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to win the three-test series 2-0:
Australia 575-8 declared (David Warner 200, Alex Carey 111, Steve Smith 85, Travis Head 51, Cameron Green 51 not out; Anrich Nortje 3-92) defeated South Africa 1st Innings 189 (Marco Jansen 59, Kyle Verreynne 52; Cameron Green 5-27) and 2nd Innings 204 (Tamba Bavuma 65; Nathan Lyon 3-58) by an innings and 182 runs.
