Great American Insurance Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Elizabeth (Beth) B. Leaird and Kenneth (Ken) B. Patrick to the role of Divisional President effective January 3, 2023.

Mrs. Leaird will lead the Equine Mortality Division, and Mr. Patrick will lead the AgriBusiness ® Division. They both succeed Mr. Jeffrey (Jeff) A. Cruey, who will retire in March 2023 after 11 years of distinguished service to the company.

Mrs. Leaird joined Great American’s Equine Mortality Division in 1995 and held various underwriting leadership positions within the division, ultimately serving as Divisional Vice President. In 2017, she joined the AgriBusiness team, where she assumed leadership responsibility for the Equine Farm operations.

Mrs. Leaird is a graduate of the College of Central Florida, where she earned her Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration. She holds the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance (AFIS) and Associate in Insurance (AINS) designations.

Mr. Patrick joined Great American’s AgriBusiness Division in 2015 as Divisional Vice President, overseeing underwriting and processing. He most recently served as Divisional Vice President within the division, overseeing the Farm operations.

Mr. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University and a Master of Education from Wright State University. He holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Reinsurance (ARE), Associate in Underwriting (AU) and Agribusiness and Farm Insurance (AFIS) designations.
