Intrinsic LLC, a fast growing transaction and valuation advisory firm that provides time-critical transaction support and sophisticated valuation advice to private equity firms, family offices and high net worth individuals, announced today that co-founder Alex Hodgkin has stepped down from his day-to-day management responsibilities, effective January 1, 2023, in order to devote more time to his role as Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and to pursue other entrepreneurial endeavors. He will continue to serve on Intrinsic’s Board of Directors while Intrinsic’s Executive Committee will continue to manage the firm’s business.

Hodgkin started his career in investment banking and has been an entrepreneur ever since. In addition to co-founding Intrinsic in 2010, he also co-founded Arcstone Partners, a securities valuation firm, in 2006, which was acquired by Frank, Rimerman & Co LLP, a Palo Alto based public accounting firm, in 2017. He orchestrated a recapitalization of Intrinsic in 2019 with Red Mountain Capital Partners LLC as lead investor. Since then, Intrinsic has seen its revenue quintuple, with a corresponding increase in headcount. Hodgkin led the launch of Intrinsic’s transaction advisory, transaction opinions and tax reporting practices and meaningfully expanded the firm’s client reach, establishing a national presence and client relationships with some of the most prominent private equity firms across the United States.
