سان فرانسيسكو (أ ب)- تسببت الرياح العاتية والأمطار الغزيرة التي تشهدها ولاية كاليفورنيا الأمريكية في انقطاع الكهرباء عن عشرات الآلاف من الأشخاص، كما أسفرت عن سيول وخلفت طفلا قتيلا بعد سقوط شجرة على منزل.

كان مسؤولون قد أمروا بإخلاء منطقة الساحل المعرضة لأكبر المخاطر عندما قتلت انهيارات طينية 23 شخصا عام 2018، فيما اقتربت العاصفة القوية من الولاية الأربعاء.

وأوصت السلطات السكان بالاحتماء في منازلهم تحسبا لأن تشهد الطرق سيولا وسقوط أشجار ومخاطر أخرى.

ونقلت صحيفة “ذا برس ديموكراط” عن رئيس هيئة الإطفاء في مقاطعة سونوما مقتل طفل صغير مساء الأربعاء بعد سقوط شجرة على منزل.
