لوس انجليس (أ ب) -كرست فنانة لوحة جدارية جديدة لإحياء ذكرى أحد أشهر سكان لوس أنجليس.

اما موضوع الجدارية فهو أسد الجبل الشهير الذي أقام في المدينة وانتهت حياته بها نهاية الأسبوع الماضي بعد تدهور حالته الصحية.

من خلال جداريتها أقامت كوري ماتي نصبا تذكاريا على جانب أحد المباني يظهر فيه الاسد مرتديا تاجا كتب عليه ”يحيا الملك”. وفي وقت سابق من العام رسمت ماتي لوحة جدارية اخرى له في موقع ترك السكان فيه الزهور بعدما نفق الاسد.

وقالت ماتي في تصريح تلفزيوني ”لا يزال ملك التل. لن يكون هناك آخر ”.

أصبح هذا الاسد واجهة لحملة بناء جسر فوق طريق سريع في منطقة لوس أنجليس لمنح الأسود والنمور والذئاب الامريكية والغزلان وغيرها من الحيوانات البرية ممرا آمنا إلى جبال سانتا مونيكا القريبة، حيث تتمتع بمساحة للتجول.

تم تسجيل تحركات اسد الجبل بانتظام عبر كاميرات أمنية وهو يتجول في مناطق قريبة من غريفيث بارك، وهو متنزه مكون من مسارات للسير لمسافات طويلة، الذي اتخذه مسكنا له.

تم تركيب طوق تتبع لأسد الجبل منذ فترة طويلة، وتم الامساك به لإجراء فحوص طبية له في 12 ديسمبر كانون اول ، بعدما قتل كلبا.

وقال مسؤولو الحياة البرية إن قرار قتله اتخذ بعدما رأى أطباء بيطريون أنه مصاب بكسر في الجمجمة وأمراض مزمنة، منها التهاب جلدي وأمراض بالكلى والكبد.
